Directions to Alexandria Waste Recovery Facility (AWRF)
From: Franconia Area
       Go North on Van Dorn St.
       Turn Left at traffic signal onto S. Pickett St.
       Turn left onto Burnside Place

From: King St.
        Go South on Van Darn St.
        Turn Right onto S. Pickett St.
        Turn left onto Burnside Place

From: Duke St.
        Turn onto S. Pickett St.
        Straight through intersection where
               S. Pickett crosses Van Darn St.
        Turn left onto Burnside Place

From: Edsall Rd.
         Go East on Edsall Rd.
         Turn Right at traffic signal onto Van Dorn St.
         Turn Right at next traffic signal onto S. Pickett St.
         Turn left onto Burnside Place

From: Burnside Place
          Once on Burnside Place continue to the end of the street.
          Make a right through first set of open gates and
               continue straight ahead through second set of gates.

Note:
           If you are on S. Pickett St. and you reach the end of the street,            Turn around and Burnside PI. is the first street on the right

AWRF is located in a heavy industrial area of the City. Please be mindful of this when entering and/or leaving the facility. Use extra caution around big trucks and heavy equipment.

Monday - Friday: 6am - 5pm

Saturday: 7am - 5 pm

Winter Hours Nov 1st - Apr 1st:

Monday - Friday: 6am - 4pm

Saturday: 7am - 12 noon
